What we collect

Email address you submit to join the waitlist (and optional name if provided).
Technical data at submission time: IP address, user-agent, timestamp, referral page, basic device info.
Cookies: minimal functional cookies to run the site and protect against abuse (e.g., CAPTCHA/rate-limiting). No advertising cookies pre-launch.

How we use your information

To send a double opt-in confirmation and a single launch notice if you confirm.
To respond to support requests you send us.
To secure and improve the site (fraud/abuse detection, diagnostics).

Legal bases (EU/UK users)

Consent (waitlist/launch emails) and legitimate interests (security/fraud prevention).

Sharing

We use trusted processors strictly for infrastructure and email (e.g., Amazon Simple Email Service). They process data on our behalf under written agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Waitlist entries are kept until launch or until you unsubscribe.
If you unsubscribe, your email is kept only on a suppression list so we don’t email you again.
Security logs are typically retained up to 24 months.

Request access, correction, or deletion via privacy@getindiacart.com.
EU/UK users also have rights to object and to data portability.

International transfers

We may process data in the United States and India. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards.

Children

Our site isn’t intended for children under 16.
